The action starts at 1000hrs on saturday and sunday and will include international quad and solo stars competing to become the first champions of Ramsgate Beach Cross.

The event is free for spectators and there is also a funfair being erected this afternoon with some scary looking rides.  I must be getting old. .

World Food Day October 16th 2010

I am really chuffed that we have been given permission to use Fairtrade Logos on all our advertising literature.  Tammy Stewart-Jones works tirelessly to promote Fairtrade in Thanet and was only too happy to award us with the privelege.

We have continued to build on our Fairtrade products and now provide 8 different Fairtrade Teas, 4 Fairtrade coffees and Fairtrade Hot Chocolate along with all our brown and white sugars.   We also buy Fairtrade bananas along with locally produced fruit wherever possible.

Last Day of Broadstairs Food Festival

What a great event the Broadstairs Food Festival was!  We managed to get over every day for the last 3 days.  On friday, we were kindly invited by one of the sponsors, Levicks Accountants for a lovely lunch beautifully prepared by Age & Sons.  Unfortunately, I couldn't go as we were so busy but Charlie went on our behalf and managed to eat (and drink!) for both of us.  The food was fantastic according to Charlie which is to be expected from the staff at Age & Sons who have really helped pu

Broadstairs Food Festival 2010

Broadstairs is holding it's 2nd Food Festival this week which continues until 3rd October.  After the success of last years event which attracted around 15,000 visitors, organisers have been able to develop this years programme to include a Children's Festival.  This is a great opportunity to educate children about the food process in a fun way.

Countdown!

Am getting very excited as we are in the final few days before the site is launched!! Watch this space!

Hornby Museum

I saw on the local news that the old Hornby museum has re invented itself after popular demand and can now attract enthusiasts or just boys in general (including all those grown up boys ofcourse).

After stopping manufacturing in 2000 they have had numerous requests to see inside the factory and now the dream has become reality.

Visitors will get to see Hornby treasures dating back 90 years and get to test those schoolboy skills on a Scalextric circuit!
