November! How did that happen?
I can't believe how quickly the year has gone (I know, sign of getting old!) and November is already here. I'm a bit weird in that I quite like the winter, the late sunrises and early sunsets with the low light means lots of great opportunities to photograph Ramsgate and the surrounding areas in all it's glory. The best bit is that it improves as the winter deepens with spectacular sunsets over our Royal Harbour especially in January. If you come for a walking holiday, don't forget your good camera!
Once again, Ramsgate has had a year of new businesses including a couple of new Greek venues; The Delphi Restaurant and The Greek Arch both overlooking our harbour plus there's a new Japanese restaurant called Kyoto Sushi & Grill in the High Street that is proving to be very popular. We also welcome The Bench Wine and Tapas Bar which opened its door this summer. There have been many other additions and one of the best ways to discover them is to follow the route on this Ramsgate Retro Map or Ramsgate Independents Map which can be found on the excellent blogger's site at No Expert which holds a wealth of up to date information about Ramsgate and Thanet.
Project Motor House is having a fundraiser next week on 10th November and if you are a fan of Brenda Blethyn, you won't want to miss this! Check out their website for more details but for £7.50 and a chance to meet Brenda with a glass of fizz thrown in, what's not to love!
