Summer is here!
The weather has been amazing over the past few weeks and our Blue Flag beaches have seen lots of use and not just by dogs! Although dogs are allowed on some parts of the beach, they are not allowed on the Main Sands. Humans only!
This weekend like all through the summer is a busy one with Ramsgate's first food and craft fair up on Government Acre including an inflatable beer tent with entertainment! It is running all weekend so make sure you get down and join in the fun.
The Alfie Gough Trust are running their teddy bears picnic on Sunday 5th July up at King George VI park. Lots of fun for the children and while you are there, check out the Italianate Greenhouse where we have a 30 foot flower poking out from the glass - this plant is over 100 years old and has begun to flower, it only happens once in it's life and then it dies. A rare opportunity to see this in a wonderfully tranquil spot in the park. On 18th July they are holding a charity garden tea and the flowers should be in full bloom by then.
Next weekend we have The Ramsgate Seaside Shuffle which is a 3 day jazz festival with indoor and outdoor performances.
I've now joined the nation of tweeters so if you want to keep up with the goings on in Ramsgate and the B&B, click on the little bird to follow! Have a wonderful summer and hope to see many of you down in sunny Ramsgate!
