The clocks may not be going forward until the weekend but the sun is shining down on Ramsgate.  Flowers are in bloom and the promenades are currently being restored to their former glory including the restoration of the beautiful benches on the East Cliff outside King George VI park. Shame about the white plastic plaques which are secured to each end of all nine benches but we can forgive them for wanting to show off their work!  The Victorian shelters are also receiving a complete overhaul with the first one almost finished and looking amazing - only 13 more to go!

There's lots happening over the next few weekends if you fancy getting down to the beach including excursions out to the world's largest offshore windfarm or in the other direction, seal trips are on offer at www.horizonseasafaris.co.uk/ or www.seasearcher.co.uk/

Thanet's very own Rock Doc, Dr Alasdair Bruce is out on 1st April guiding adults and children through 80 million years of our local seascape history.  Exploring the chalk cliffs at Kingsgate Bay and hopefullly finding fossils are on the agenda from 11am with most walks lasting around 1-2 hours.  To find out more click on Thanet Coast Project in our Links section or use the following link www.thanetcoast.org.uk/whats_on.aspx
