Miles Bar, Harbour Parade, Ramsgate

Miles Bar, Harbour Parade, Ramsgate

My gorgeous friend Elly came down from London on Saturday and treated me to lunch at Miles Bar in Harbour Parade where we had such a great time catching up and reminiscing about our student nurse days.

We walked down to the harbour from Glendevon so I could show off Ramsgate's latest art installment "The Great Wall of Ramsgate" and the lovely beaches.  Miles Bar is less than a 10 minute walk from the guest house so is very convenient.  The bar/restaurant has a great position overlooking the harbour with seating outside for perfect people-watching opportunities!

We were greeted by cheerful staff who took our order immediately and then showed us to a table in the larger eating area.  It was really busy with all age groups enjoying what Miles Bar has to offer.  Two girls were sitting at the bar tucking into their Soup-in-a-cob-loaf which you can see from the photo, we succumbed to!  It tasted as good as it looked with the soup melting into the sides of the delicious loaf so you could scoop out the edges.  The atmosphere was really relaxed with all the tables filled and I'm not surprised.  The prices, (including alcohol) were very reasonable and I will definately be recommending Miles Bar in the future.

Thanks Elly (and Miles Bar) for a lovely Saturday afternoon.
